Brief
Introduction to Fiberglass
Fiberglass
includes continuous fiberglass, special fiberglass. It is a kind of inorganic
non-metallic material with many excellent properties. Its properties are
designable through changing the chemical composition of glass.
Fiberglass
can be used in very wide field, the main usage are:
Reinforcing material:
The ideal substitute for metals, woods and concrete. Besides of E-glass,
C-glass is specially designed as reinforcing material in China, which
cost is lower than E-glass, because it doesn't contain B2O3. The chemical
composition of E-Glass and C-glass are compared as below.

Construction Material:
Due to good tensile strength, light weight and fire-resistance, fiberglass
is widely used in construction industry. The main products are Alkali-resistant
Mesh Fabric, Self-adhesive Joint Tape, Wall Fabric. AR Fiberglass is specially
designed for reinforcing cement.
Electrical Insulation Material:
Only E-glass is suitable for making insulation material. The main products
are fabrics, tapes and sleevings.
Sealing
and Thermal Insulation Material:
The ideal substitute for Asbestos. High Silica Fiberglass is specially
designed as high temperature resistant material.
Filter
Material at high temperature.
